PF withdrawal simplified – Attestation of employer not necessary

The ministry of labour and employment has launched simplified, brief forms for PF withdrawal. The notification, dated 4th December, stated that the Employer’s attestation no longer a necessity for Filing PF Claims.

These forms are applicable to those employees who have completed their Form-11 (New) details which is available in the UAN member login.

The newly launched forms require some basic information to be provided. This facility is made available to all the subscribers who have their UAN i.e, universal account number ( or portable PF) activated and also have details like bank account and Aadhaar number linked to the KYC of their UAN and is attested through digital signature of the employer.

The employees who have satisfied the above conditions will be able to submit their claims in Form-19,Form-10C and Form 31 directly to the Commissioner without having to get an attestation from their employers for a much faster settlement of claims.

The EPFO’s Central Provident Fund Commissioner mentioned that this facility of filing withdrawing claims is a step towards launching the facility for settling of such applications online as well.

These new forms will largely benefit the employees who have already updated their Aadhar number and Bank account number attested through digital signature of the employer.
